Gael Gundin Guevara was born and raised in Panamá City, Panamá. Gael immigrated to the United States at the age of 19.  They graduated from The Ohio State University with a BA degree in Sociology and just graduated from Pratt Institute with an Associate Degree in illustration Spring of 09.  Gael is also a certified fitness professional.  Visit Gael's fitness blog at www.gaelguevara.blogspot.com 

 Gael is also a collective member and the Community Organizing Coordinator of the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, an organization that provides free legal services and community organizing support to low-income and people of color who are transgender, intersex, and gender non-conforming.  Gael is also an organizer with Transforming Justice, a national coalition that works to address the root causes of imprisonment, criminalization, and poverty in transgender and gender non-conforming communities.  Transforming Justice hopes to bring visibility and empowerment to the voices of trans and gender non-conforming people to build a stronger, all gender inclusive abolitionist movement and dismantle the prison industrial complex.
